註：off the hook 本意是魚脫鉤，引申為逃過壹劫。Saved by the

bell常見於學生因下課鈴聲及時響起，而逃過答不出問題的窘境，或在拳擊比賽中，被打得快輸了，但因中場鈴聲及時響起而得以撐到下壹場。

214. 歪打正著。 Hit the jackpot. (俚語，表示非常幸運或成功)

215. 別搞錯了. Don’t take it the wrong way. （本意是“不要錯估形勢”或不要因誤會我說的的話而生氣”。）

216. 別管閑事！ Stop bossing me around!

註：它的形容詞bossy。在不需要幫忙時，硬要幫忙出點子、下命令，就會被說是“You are so bossy”。

註：前者是指想要某物而不惜任何代價，前後句接得通常是I would give anything, my arms, my legs…”等。 而I

wouldn’t miss it for the world是指“

註：Don’t take it so hard 是安慰別人的話，要人家“不要把事情想得那樣糟”，或者是“不要讓它困擾妳。”

註：俚語，Flow原意是水流，這裏用來指就像水會自然流動，事情也會自然解決。

243. 說來話長。 It’s a long story. (意味著情況過於復雜，難以細說分明)

247. 血債血還。 An eye for an eye. (語出聖經，原話是：An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
